This class focused on creating layered looks with multiple ink colors. Here I used Altenew's Birthday Greetings stamp set. I stamped the balloons in multiple colors and then enhanced their shininess with white stickles. I framed the balloons with white cardstock and stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment and splattered it with blue glittery paint.

ALTENEW: FOR THE GUYS, FINAL PROJECT
I always find it more difficult to create cards for the guys in my life. I LOVE using floral images and so its hard for me to step out of my comfort zone and produce cards that don't look "girly and flowery"! LOL! Here are two that I came up with after completing the For the Guys class.
For this first card, I used the Wanderlust Stamp Set. I love the mountain range and treeline stamp that this set includes. I used some masking tape and tore it roughly down the center. I placed one piece along the top of the card and the other piece along the bottom of the card. I used distress oxide ink pads (prize ribbon, broken china and stormy sky) and a blending brush to create the mountainous backdrop for the treeline stamp. It's clean and simple without any bling but packs a dramatic punch. Please leave a comment by clicking on the post title. A comment box will open up at the bottom of the post. ALTENEW: CELEBRATION STENCIL TECHNIQUES, FINAL PROJECT
I love using stencils but this class was a little difficult for me. And by difficult, I mean, I had so many ideas after watching the lessons in this class and didn't know where to begin. I ended up using the Altenew Inky Bouquet stamp set and Halftone Stencil to make this lovely day card. I used white texture paste and mixed it with some ink from my yellow ink pad. Then I placed the halftone stencil on white cardstock and smeared the texture paste all over it. I cut a piece of it to make the strip behind the floral image. Then I used the inky bouquet stencil to color in the flower with distressed oxide inks and a blending brush. This was a fun class and I'll definitely be using more of my die cuts as stencils as well as just using stencils itself to create fun backgrounds.
On to my next class! 😃
