Flair!!

Haha! So I'm addicted to Flair...on Facebook.

There is an application on Facebook called Pieces of Flair. You can give yourself pins or you can send pins to other Facebook members. There are tons of pins to choose from and the more pins that I give, the more credits I can get to use on more pins for myself - hehe!

To the right are pieces of Flair that I've given myself, except for the ones in the the upper right hand corner. (Click on the pic for a close-up view.)

If I could, I would buy these pins because they are just so cool!!

(updated w/new pins on 7/9/08)

Newfound FUN...Acrylic Albums

I just attended a workshop at a local craft store and it was alot of fun! We learned how to put together Acrylic albums and its actually alittle harder than I thought it would be. First off, the pages of the album are see-through. Although, they are shiny and somehow make each page "pop" because of the glossy finish, one thing to remember is that what you put on one side will definitely show up on the other. So, with alittle more "thinking" involved, here is my finished album.

FYI...they sell the acrylic sheets at scrapbook stores. They come in two thicknesses and are 12"x12" in size and can easily be cut using a rotary blade. Do not try cutting the sheets with scissors or other cutting blades...rotary blades work best.

The pictures are of a family dinner that we had at PF Chang's a couple months ago. My aunts and uncles were visiting from LA and Michigan and it was so much fun to have a good dinner with them.

Father's Day Cards

Here are a few Father's Day cards that I made this weekend. I used the Life's A Jungle stamp set along with the paper packs: Good Times, Silhouette and Sarsparilla. I just love the animals and the really cute sayings to match.

And the Winner Is....

Last week, my friend from work, Denise, tried to win tickets to see the premiere of Sex and the City which was on Friday night. Movin 99.7 was sponsoring the contest. They would ask a question regarding the tv series and then would tell you when to call in, usually 25 minutes later. If you knew the answer, you called in and tried to be caller number 25. Well, last Wednesday, I got home from work and heard the question "What was Charlotte's favorite broadway show?" I cheated and looked up the answer on Movin's website and thought, why not, I'll try calling in. After 4 busy signal calls, I figured, I'll try one more time and after a bit of silence, the call went through. The phone was ringing. Some guy picks up and the conversation went something like this:

The guy (which was J Love, the DJ) says, "Hello".
And I was like "hello" (in disbelieve that someone was on the other end of the call)
"Are you older than 21?"
Yes.
"Where are you calling from?"
San Carlos
"Are you calling for the contest and do you know the answer?"
YES!! (at this point, I'm freaking out! Could it be the actual DJ that I'm talking too? Haha!)
"And what's the answer?"
CATS!!
"Congratulations, you are a winner!!! You are going to the pre-party at the O-Lounge in Japantown and to see the premiere of Sex and the City as well as hit up the after-party at LUX!!! Which one of your girlfriends are you gonna bring with ya?"
My friend from work, Denise!! (We promised we'd take each other if one of us won.) OMG OMG OMG!!! That's awesome, wow, cool, oh my god!!! (at this point, I'm jumping around my bedroom!)
"Congratulations and have a good time, Boo!"

About 20 minutes later, they played the whole conversation on the radio. Whoo hoo....I still can't believe that I won something. I've never won anything on the radio before.

Here are pictures from the awesomely fun night we had at the pre-party. And oh yeah, the movie was really, really great! It definitely doesn't disappoint and definitely has a great ending!!!

Here we are with Maria and Baltazaar from the morning show and Alexa from the mid-morning show.

Of course, we had to have martini's. I had a pear martini and Denise has a cosmo.

Here I am eating soba out of a martini glass...only at a Sex and the City party...
