Two new cards

My friend at work needed two cards - one congratulations card and one birthday card - for some friends of hers. So, I made these two for her this weekend.

For this congratulations card, I used kiwi and petal cardstock along with matching stamp pads. I just LOVE the June Stamp of the Month: With Love. And then I tied it with white chiffon ribbon and topped the flower with a clear button.

For this birthday card, I used chocolate and topiary stamp pads, along with chocolate cardstock and B&T paper from the Life Delights paper pack. Also, this froggy stamp set is new: Fun Times. Of course, when I saw it in the new Idea Book, it was one of the first stamp sets that I had to buy. In addition, another new product came out: ric-rac. It comes in 5 different colors. Here I used the chocolate colored one to match the card background. I thought that I wouldn't like it, but using it on this card just adds that little extra oomph. And its actually a little stiffer than regular ric-rac which makes it easier to use for card-crafting and scrapbooking.

A Good Time at Great America

I had the urge to do more scrapbooking layouts, since I now have a bunch of pictures to scrapbook. :-) In these pictures, Ariana and I are at Great America enjoying the rides and the sun. We both brought our cameras to the park. In most of the pictures, Ariana is the one taking our picture. We've taken many "self-portraits" since then and I'll post those pictures later.

Here I used the Good Times Level 1 Paper Pack. In a Level 1 kit comes 4 preprinted layout pages, 2 cardstocks and 2 B&T duo's in coordinating colors. Also, a sheet of stickers comes in the pack. I just love the coordinating Twilight and Chocolate colors.

Alysia and her webkins!

I just had to post this video of my niece, Alysia. Here she is copying two sayings that she got from ba-chi ("oh man") and her dad ("dude!"). Its too funny! And of course, here are three of her webkins that she likes playing with.

Summer 2008 Idea Book Unveiling Workshop

It's been a while since I posted any artwork. I did have a workshop this past Saturday and it was a lot of fun. I introduced the new Summer Idea Book to my customers and we made a bookmark (top) and two cards. I used several of our new products: bitty brads, clear buttons, monnogram dimensional elements as well as the new June Stamp of the Month and Whoops-A-Daisy paper pack. I love the fun bright colors of that paper pack.

The following picture is of cards that my sister, Tricia, and I made for Mother's Day. Hers is on the left and she used the Paper Garden paper pack as well as stamps from the Kindred Spirits stamp set. The card on the right is the one that I made using the Delight in Everything and the May Stamp of the Month stamp sets. I added two sparkles to the flowers which really made them pop. These two cards are so cute and simple.
