I held a workshop last weekend, and as requested by everyone that attended, I'm posting the instructions here. Here are (3) pictures of the finished album. In this example, I used a More to Adore Lvl 1 Paper Pack. I used the Rustic Alphabet stamp set (for the C) and the Celebrate Life and Simple Blossoms Stamp Set (for the words and flowers).
(front cover) (slightly opened album)

(album opened fully into the shape of a star - this picture does not have the third "layer" as I'm still stamping and adding pictures to it. For a more finished product, please view the blog entry below for the hot pink star album.)
Ingredients Needed:
1 - Level 1 Paper Pack or similar sheets of cardstock and Background & Texture (printed) papers (as noted below)
4 – 12” x 12” white or cream cardstock
1 yard - 5/8” or 3/4” wide ribbon (satin or grosgrain)
2 – 5” x 5” matte board (front and cover of album)
14-16 Pictures (trimmed to 3”x3” size)
Paper Trimmer with both a cutting and scoring blade
Adhesives
In one Level 1 Paper Pack, you get 10 cardstocks (4 neutral, 2 each of 3 colors) and 12 B&T (2 each of 6 patterns). You will not use all the paper in the pack, but the leftover paper can be used for embellishing the insides of the star and making other projects (such as cards or scrapbook pages).
Cut the cardstock or B&T as designated and listed below:
a) Using 4 neutral colors cardstock – cut 7 pieces at 5 ½“ x 11” – score @ 5 ½“
b) Using 4 B&T – cut 14 pieces at 5” x 5”
c) Using 4 (2 of each matching) cardstock – cut 7 pieces at 5 ½“ x 8 ½” – score @ 4 ¼”
d) Using 4 sheets of the extra white or cream cardstock – cut 7 pieces at 5 ½” x 7” – score @ 3 ½”
e) Using 1 B&T – cut 2 pieces at 5” x 5”
f) Using 1 B&T – cut 2 pieces at 4 ¼” x 4 ¼”
g) Using the leftover white or cream cardstock – cut 2 pieces at 4” x 4”
You will make 7 different sections which makes up each point of the album.
Take 2 (b) 5” x 5” B&T - tape it to each section of one (a), repeat on all 7 pieces
Take 1 of (c) 5 ½“ x 8 ½” cardstock - tape ONLY the ends to the end of the above piece, repeat on all 7 pieces
Note: The scored middle sections will not touch and that is ok. It should however fold in half – its ok if its not flat.
For all of the white or cream pieces in (d) above: Embellish, add pictures or stamp BEFORE adhering it into the album. Once you’ve done decorating, then add each section duplicating the steps above.
After all sections are together, figure out what is going to be the front and back of your album. Using adhesives, start taping the sections back to back. When closed, it will look like a book. When opened, it will look like a star.
Find the center of your ribbon and hold that on the spine of your book. Adhere the remaining part of the ribbon to the front of the album. Doing the same for the back.
Using the 2 - 5” x 5” matte board and (e) (f) (g) from above, layer the pieces of B&T and cardstock to form the cover and back of your album.
If you have any questions, please let me know! Have fun! And if you make this album, please
send me pictures. I'd love to post your artwork here on my blog!!
